On November 22nd, the "2022 Qingdao Small and Medium sized Enterprise International Procurement Fair" was officially launched. This event is hosted by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government and the Bank of China, and organized by the Qingdao Small and Medium sized Enterprise Bureau, the Management Committee of the China Shanghai Cooperation Organization Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone, and the Qingdao Branch of the Bank of China. The aim is to build a display, exchange, and cooperation platform for small and medium-sized enterprises and promote international exchange and cooperation among them. Leaders from the Qingdao Municipal Government, Shanghai Cooperation Demonstration Zone, and Qingdao Branch attended the opening ceremony. Representatives from international business associations such as Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as enterprises, attended the opening ceremony.

The three-day event, which is a combination of online and offline, attracted more than 120 foreign purchasers from Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea, and the "the Belt and Road", as well as 300 island city enterprises covering 24 key industries, including smart home appliances, high-end chemicals, textiles and clothing, integrated circuits, and artificial intelligence. During the opening ceremony, the establishment ceremony of the "Qingdao Small and Medium sized Enterprise International Procurement Partner Ecosphere", the launch ceremony of the "Qingdao Small and Medium sized Enterprise International Procurement Online Platform", and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) small procurement negotiation conference were held simultaneously.

​2022 is the sixth year of the joint matchmaking meeting between Bank of China and the Qingdao Municipal People's Government.
